Roy Al Rendahl - Fine Art

Making art was my first interest as a child, later expanding into other forms of expression such as music and sound, film and video, commercial art, and mechanical engineering (which is really commercial sculpture). My past art experience includes drawing, pastel, oil painting, water color, stone lithography, silk screen, stained glass, and architecture. I have an oil painting in the Ben and Abby Weed Grey Foundation collection in the Grey Art Gallery at NYU. I also have a US patent #4,884,792 of a cam operated clamp. I love color and light (even the lights of Las Vegas and, of course, the red rocks of Sedona). I have always felt limited by the range of colors available to the artist. Maybe that is why I have gone into other areas of creativity. My "day job" for most of my life has been as a packaging designer and mechanical engineer / machine designer. A partnership for the last few years between myself and Farrah Reizana is The FaRo, doing a number of entertainment and business related services. Trimordial Studio is my audio recording, video production, and graphic arts / web design / engineering design division, using Macintosh computers. My latest art interests are in photography, oil painting, and large stainless steel sculpture projects.
